This Cancellations and Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds and cancellations are processed on Kings Live OTT ("Platform"), operated by Shaniverse Innovations Pvt Ltd. By using our services, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

1. Content Review Fee (₹499)

Non-Refundable Policy

The Content Review Fee of ₹499 is a one-time, non-refundable payment required when submitting your film for review. This fee covers:

  • Professional content review and quality assessment
  • Technical quality verification
  • Compliance and legal verification
  • Administrative processing costs

Important: This fee is non-refundable regardless of the approval outcome, similar to film festival submission fees. It ensures serious submissions and covers our review costs. The fee is charged at the time of submission and cannot be refunded even if:

  • Your content is rejected
  • You withdraw your submission
  • You decide not to proceed after approval
  • Your account is closed or terminated

2. Platform Distribution License (PDL)

Non-Refundable License Fee

The Platform Distribution License is a 1-year licensing fee charged during creator registration (after film approval). Pricing varies by content type:

  • Feature Films (90+ mins): ₹15,000
  • Documentaries: ₹10,000
  • Stand-Up Comedy: ₹7,500
  • Short Films (10-40 mins): ₹5,000
  • Music Videos/Films: ₹5,000
  • Experimental/Art Films: ₹2,500
  • Micro Movies (Under 10 mins): ₹2,400
  • Student Films (up to 30 mins): ₹5,000
  • Web Series Episodes (30-40 mins): ₹5,000 per episode
  • Web Series Episodes (40+ mins): ₹6,000 per episode

No Refunds: The PDL fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, including:

  • Account closure or termination
  • Content removal (voluntary or involuntary)
  • Contract non-renewal after 1 year
  • Poor performance or low viewership
  • Change of mind after payment

3. Ticket Purchase Refunds (For Viewers)

Refunds for content ticket purchases are issued only in the following circumstances:

Eligible for Refund:

  • Duplicate Payments: If you were charged multiple times for the same content
  • Technical Failure: Genuine technical issues that prevent content playback despite multiple attempts
  • Fraudulent Transaction: Unauthorized or fraudulent charges on your account
  • Content Unavailable: If purchased content is removed before you could watch it

NOT Eligible for Refund:

  • Change of mind after purchase
  • Dissatisfaction with content quality or storyline
  • Partial viewing of content
  • Internet connectivity issues on user's end
  • Device compatibility issues
  • Accidental purchases (unless reported within 24 hours before viewing)

4. Refund Request Process

How to Request a Refund:

  1. Contact our support team at support@kingslive.in
  2. Provide your transaction ID and order details
  3. Explain the reason for your refund request
  4. Include any relevant screenshots or evidence

Processing Timeline:

  • Review: Refund requests are reviewed within 3-5 business days
  • Approval: If approved, refunds are processed within 7-10 business days
  • Credit: Refunds are credited to the original payment method
  • Bank Processing: Additional 5-7 days may be required for bank processing

5. Content Removal by Creators

Creators may request to remove their content at any time by providing a 7-day written notice.

Key Points:

  • No additional fee is charged for content removal
  • The Content Review Fee (₹499) and Platform Distribution License remain non-refundable upon content removal
  • Content will stay live during the 7-day notice period
  • Earnings generated before removal will be paid to the Creator as per the payout cycle
  • Platform may instantly remove content in case of legal violations (no refunds)

6. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback through your bank or payment provider:

  • Your account may be suspended pending investigation
  • Access to purchased content will be revoked
  • Creators will not receive payment for disputed transactions
  • Repeated chargebacks may result in permanent account termination

We encourage you to contact us first before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve the issue amicably.

7. Payment Gateway Charges

Payment gateway charges (typically 2-3%) are deducted from all transactions. In case of refunds, these charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund amount as they have already been paid to the payment processor.
